The 2026 Australian readiness study audited 6,313 dental practice websites across the states and territories. The most common gaps were fundamentals: 72.86% of audited sites had images missing alt text, 72.64% had no FAQ page, and 68.96% had no detectable insurance or payment page.
On the patient side, 65.15% of sites had no contact or enquiry form the scan could find, and 45.73% offered no clear booking action — the exact moment a ready-to-book patient gives up and tries the next practice in the results.
The free DentalPresence check runs the same 37-check scan the study used, so an Australian practice can see exactly which gaps apply to its own website, benchmarked against the published Australian data.
